Terms and Conditions – Returns and Warranty Policy
By signing the purchase agreement and associated documentation, the customer ("Buyer") acknowledges and agrees to the following Terms and Conditions set out by MJ MOTOR SALES LTD ("the Dealership"). These terms form a binding agreement and are applicable to all vehicle sales.
1. Returns Policy
1.1 7-Day Return Window
The Buyer has the right to return the vehicle within 7 calendar days from the date of purchase, subject to the following conditions:
The vehicle must be returned in the same condition in which it was sold.
The vehicle must not have been modified or altered.
The mileage driven must not exceed 250 miles during this period.
Any damage or wear sustained during the 7-day period may result in charges or rejection of the return.
1.2 Return After 7 Days
Returns after the 7-day period will only be accepted under the following circumstances:
The vehicle is completely undriveable due to a major mechanical fault affecting either the engine or gearbox.
A qualified independent mechanic must verify and provide a written report of the fault.
The Dealership must be notified immediately upon discovery of the fault and the vehicle must not be driven further.
Return approvals after 7 days are at the sole discretion of the Dealership, and will take 15-20 Business days.
2. Warranty Coverage
2.1 Handler Protect Warranty
All eligible vehicles sold by the Dealership include a Handler Protect warranty, the terms and length of which are specified in your warranty documentation. This warranty covers certain mechanical and electrical failures and is subject to the terms outlined in the Handler Protect policy booklet provided to you upon purchase.
2.2 Exclusions and Conditions
The warranty does not cover:
Wear and tear items (e.g., tyres, brake pads, wipers, etc.)
Misuse, neglect, or failure to follow maintenance schedules
Repairs carried out without prior authorisation
It is the Buyer's responsibility to familiarise themselves with the full warranty terms as provided by Handler Protect.
3. Acceptance of Terms
By signing the purchase agreement and all related documentation, the Buyer confirms that they:
Have read, understood, and agreed to the above Terms and Conditions;
Acknowledge the return policy and warranty limitations;
Accept that no further returns, claims, or modifications to this policy will be considered unless explicitly agreed to in writing by the Dealership.
